The operating body, rebuilt to match the idea.
In the old model, strategy is conceived, then ‘implemented.’ Implementation is where strategy goes to die. We start from the opposite: the operating system is the strategy, expressed in time. If the work cannot carry the idea, the idea was never finished.
The flow of work across functions that still believe they are separate. Decision rights. Cadence. The few numbers that tell the truth. The points where a person, not a process, must judge. Execution, as we mean it, is industrial design applied to the institution.
A well-designed operating body produces intelligence as a by-product. That intelligence feeds positioning and direction. Momentum is what it feels like when this is working — not a push from the top, a property of the system.
